Community & Conduct
Bodily Autonomy & Nudity: Annwfn gatherings support bodily autonomy and are clothing-optional; expressions of sexuality may occur. Ensure you and any accompanying family members are comfortable with this atmosphere. Review the Sexual Etiquette handout, and remember that nudity is never consent or an invitation.
Age Restrictions: Individuals under 18 years of age are not permitted at the adult May Games to comply with legal requirements and allow all adults to participate comfortably. Separate youth entertainment is provided when available.
Substance Policy: Illegal substances are strictly prohibited to protect the safety and legal standing of our community. Attendees must comply with all local and state laws.
Personal Autonomy & Sacred Land: Respect each person’s personal boundaries just as you respect the land. This is sacred land—please treat all living things on it with reverence and care.
Liability Waiver: All participants must read and sign a liability waiver upon registration.
Camping & Trail Etiquette
Campsites: Camp only in designated, marked areas. Leave your site looking unvisited upon departure.
Food Storage & Critters: Store all food securely in an ice chest (limited storage is available in the Goat Lodge). Unattended food attracts wildlife and pests, including ants.
Trails & Vegetation: Stay on established trails. Avoid stepping on wildflowers and vegetation to prevent soil erosion and protect local plant species.
Sanitation & Waste: Use the designated outdoor restroom facilities exclusively for solid waste. Do not deposit urine into these facilities, as it disrupts decomposition and fills the barrels prematurely; urinate on the ground instead (or use the Goat Lodge shower urination station if requested, emptying and rinsing the bucket outside). Never leave toilet paper or waste in the woods—pack it out.
Pets: Leave pets at home due to delicate local wildlife and indigenous felines. If brought, owners assume full liability for any injury or loss.
Flashlights: Carry a flashlight after dark, even on marked paths. Avoid shining lights into campsites or directly into people's eyes.
Waste & Fire Safety
Garbage & Recycling: Pack out all garbage and recycling when you leave. Public recycling bins are available at the Goat Lodge; please rinse all items before disposal. Styrofoam is strictly prohibited.
Smoking Areas: Smoke only in designated zones: in front of the Goat Lodge (cleared of brush fire hazards) or at the Upper Meadow smoking area. Dispose of cigarette butts in the provided ash cans—never on the ground, in the pond, or in fire pits.
Sacred Fire: Never burn trash in the Sacred Fire area.
Bathing & Water Conservation
Showers: A single-person shower with limited hot water is located inside the Goat Lodge. Use water sparingly and observe all posted capacity limits or water-shortage restrictions. Only all-natural, biodegradable soaps are permitted. Solar shower bags may be used in the shower stall and heated in the garden.
Pond & Hot Tub Use: Bathing or using soap in the hot tub or pond is strictly prohibited. Supervise children near the pond at all times, and take appropriate precautions against sunburn.
Buildings & Grounds
Caretaker Spaces: Do not enter caretaker quarters unless explicitly invited. The Goat Lodge: Reserved for food preparation and first aid—not personal food storage. Limit use to essential needs, clean and return all items after use, and help maintain facility cleanliness. The Shaggy Mushroom (Temple): Visitors are welcome to use this sacred space for meditation, quiet dialogue, and ritual. Remove shoes before going upstairs, follow posted guidelines, and do not touch or remove altar objects without express permission. Garden: Guests are welcome to visit the garden; keep all gates closed at all times to protect crops from wildlife. Do not walk inside plant beds or pick flowers and produce without permission from a caretaker or volunteer.
Sacred Spaces & Ritual
Decorations: You are encouraged to decorate altars, gates, and the Maypole using organic, biodegradable materials that safely return to the earth. Plastic ribbon is prohibited. Take any non-decomposable items home with you.
Glow Sticks: Handle glow sticks with care—they contain glass tubes and must never be opened or left on the land. Treat them as sacred objects.
Ritual Circle: Keep the circle area clean and free of personal belongings, trash, clothing, and waste. Only designated fire tenders are permitted to stoke the ritual fire. Refer to the Ritual Etiquette handout for additional details.
